Construction brigade-2023

Today we are starting the annual Construction Brigade event!
Each player can build a city in Virtonomics!
Players in 5 realms (Vera, Olga, Nika, Mary, and Lien) will have an opportunity to participate.

GENERAL RULES
To build a new city a player should pay a certain amount of money which depends on the location of the city and its population.
BASE COST is the price for a city with a population of 50 to 250 thousand people. For bigger cities, you should pay an ADDITIONAL COST, for every 50 000 people if the population exceeds 250 000. (It does not mean you can build a city with a higher population than in real life, it means that big cities cost more). As a reference to the city’s population, we accept links from open sources, such as citypopulation.de

As an exception, you can build a smaller city (<50 th.) if it has a culture, sport, or another kind of fame in real life.

Countries are separated into 3 different price categories which depend on the size of retail markets, the development of services, and the current population of the country.

For all countries: 300 000 billion for 250k people (+30 000 billion for every additional 50k people):

ADDITIONAL RULES

• Applications are accepted until Oct 2nd
• The city will be built on a realm, where donations are received
• Only cities that exist in real life can be used as a reference
• Donations can be accepted only from one person, a founder of the city
• Money will be taken manually after final confirmation from game administration
• The founder of a city will receive a unique award with the city’s coat of arms, without bonuses
• Founder can ask for a mayor position in the city if he/she wants it
• A founder will have 50% discount on all point properties in the city (mines, farms, villas, etc.), built there before Oct 16th. In order to receive property with a discount, the founder should write a personal message to diska. The founder should have all the required amount (points) on his/her account (with a discount) and then money will be taken and property will be given.
• Characteristics of the new city will be determined by game administration. Founders can propose recourses, that could be added. It is possible to add a resource that exists in this city (and its reasonable surroundings) in real life. For 3rd category countries, it is possible to add 1 new resource. For 2nd category, it’s 2 and for 1st category, you can add up to 4 different resources.
• Game administration has a right to decline to build a city before the deduction of money from a player

“BUILDING” NEW COUNTRIES
There will be also a relevant opportunity available for the construction of entire countries.

GENERAL RULES

• The country must have a proper legal status and be recognized by the world community
• The main and only payment for a new country should be done by spending points. The cost depends on the population of a new country:
  – up to 100 000 people – 300 points
  – from 100 000 to 500 000 people – 500 points
  – from 500 000 to 1 000 000 people – 1000 points
  – more than 1 000 000 people – 1000 points +250 points for every million people (small adjustments are possible)
• Building can be done by a group of people in the same political party. In that case, payment (points) could be divided among members.
• Half of the points invested in the country could be spent on buying new point property (Villas) in this country.
• Mayor/Governor/Presidential seats will be distributed between party members according to the application of the party leader.
• Basic cost includes 5% bonus on the quality of goods produced in the new country (a parallel with reality is drawn, for example, milk only in small Alps countries, etc.). Only countries with a population of 500 000 people or higher, can get this bonus.
• Resources. The majority of small countries can’t brag about an abundance of resources, therefore, in countries with a population of 100 000 people – one resource can be found, in countries with more than 500 000 people – two resources, and in countries with more than 1 million people – 3 different resources. Resources can be found only in countries with populations of 100 000 people and more.
• All party members of a country founder will get 50% discount in this country on all point property until Oct 16th (via the personal message to Diska)
• Awards. The Party leader (or another person if the party leader agrees) will get an award of a country Discoverer, without bonuses.
• The new country will have a minimum of one city (the official capital) and all cities with a population of more than 50 000 people. Additional payments for those cities ARE NOT NEEDED.
