I believe it would be a great idea to introduce a corporate contract list and would positively develop corporate game play.
Problem: Market contracts can be increased over time and in line with limits. This can be used to exploit unwary and busy players.
Needs: The idea should be able to spot when this happens cancel / pause that contract and address who can do it.
Idea: A list of external companies members of the corporation hold contracts with. An option to pause / cancel all offending contracts (activated by officials). Individual players could choose to un-pause their contracts resume their supply of goods and activate a cool down period.
Comment: I’m not against contract prices ever increasing because it is an interesting dynamic. Or companies not being allowed to fail. I believe this works best at cooperate level because there is an element of care / co-operation there.

No it does not. Simply because you don't like the answer you now want to change the democratic goal posts.

You moved those goal posts yourself by suggesting to implement a feature specifically tailored to your corporation's need.

But not true it is simply based on an existing future within the game and exists in business. Please stop clogging the thread you clearly don't respect the democratic principles here.

This suggestion is the wrong solution for the problem you like to solve.
 
There is a flaw in the purchase contract system which allows sellers to increase prices all the time. Why don't you come up with a suggestion for this?

To be fair I'm not against players raising contract prices. I think it is an interesting dynamic of the game. For me the problem is how do you spot it, cancel / pause that contract and who can do it.
 
I believe at corporation level it works best, adds to the game play there and is a function of corporations in real life. I'm trying to keep this as simple as possible because the admins won't want to spend time /money developing anything too complex.

Possibility to raise prices, but also the ability to (automatically) set a maximum amount/percentage is better.
 
Easy to implement.
 
Corporate blacklisting would require much more additional features, like allowing specific exceptations, to make it a proper working feature, which is likeable for the majority of people.

It'd be nice to set a maximum percentage (from initial offer) it could go up. I do not think this is easily implented since it means virtonomics needs to save additional variables for each offer namely the initial offer price.   But maybe the game leaders can finally respond here?

God, what a stupid thing I roll! Such functionality already exists. If you do not know about him, this is solely your problem.

Price limit should be used as the standard first option rather than the 10% increase per turn option though, or atleast give the option to change the standard setting to what you prefer. Because currently the standard option clearly gets abused.

Complete nonsense from your lips. The effect is instant and obvious. Your company has a shortage of strong retailers, and the situation will only get worse for you. But your goal is absolutely unattainable, as there are always enough goods for trading on the market. There are no irreplaceable goods, there are no irreplaceable suppliers.

This now has the highest level of support (and growing) for anything suggested on this forum and you are fighting a losing battle To you.
