Hi)) You know everybody has his own heroes. For some of us it’s our parents, for others famous politicians, writers, actors etc. So I wonder whose hands would you like to shake?
As for me, I’d like to shake hands with

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Oscar Wilde
Alexander Pushkin (though he would probably scratch my hand with his long nails “à la mode” To you )
Charlie Chaplin
Johnny Depp
George Lucas ( I happen to live in his universe)
Stephen Fry & Hugh Laurie (well they are just awesome and multitalented)
Oh and all members of the Monty Python troupe (well just two words: parrot sketch ))))))

And I certainly would to like to shake my parents’ hands; as a matter of fact I’ll go and do it))))))Very we!

Angelina Jolie too.

Looking at the OP's picture, I can't help but think I'd want to shake hands with King Kong... If by "shake", it means grabbing me like a bottle of champagne and shake my very existence to the lala land.

I'd like some clarification on this one cause if u mean what I think u mean - u say "I love this man" and it's not ok by me. This man caused death and suffer to 10s of millions of people all over the world.
I won't go to any dirty debates about it but in case I'm right I will not tolerate that and stop any buisness with you and give u your 500 milions back.
Be the change you want to see in the world

From historical perspective, Adolf Hitler is one of the most fascinating person of the 20th century. I included his name on the list in the same manner as The Times has Adolf Hitler as their "Man of the Year" in 1938. I don't approve of his actions but I can't ignore his legacy. He is part of our human history.

1. Nikolay II

Nicholas II (18 May [O.S. 6 May] 1868 – 17 July 1918) was the last Emperor of Russia, Grand Duke of Finland, and titular King of Poland.  His official title was Nicholas II, Emperor and Autocrat of All the Russias  and he is currently regarded as Saint Nicholas the Passion-Bearer  by the Russian Orthodox Church. Nicholas II ruled from 1894 until his abdication on 15 March 1917. During his reign Russian Empire was one of the foremost great powers of the world.

2.Petr Stolypin

Pyotr Arkadyevich Stolypin (April 14 [O.S. April 2] 1862– September 18 [O.S. September 5] 1911) served as Nicholas II's Chairman of the Council of Ministers—the Prime Minister of Russia—from 1906 to 1911. His tenure was marked by efforts to repress revolutionary groups, as well as for the institution of noteworthy agrarian reforms. Stolypin hoped, through his reforms, to stem peasant unrest by creating a class of market-oriented smallholding landowners.  He is often cited as one of the last major statesmen of Imperial Russia with a clearly defined political programme and determination to undertake major reforms.

3. Adolf Hitler

Adolf Hitler (20 April 1889 – 30 April 1945) was an Austrian-born German politician and the leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party (German: Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, abbreviated NSDAP), commonly known as the Nazi Party. He was Chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945 and, after 1934, also head of state as Führer und Reichskanzler, ruling the country as an absolute dictator of Germany.

4. Wolf Messing

Wolf Grigorevich Messing (10 September 1899, Góra Kalwaria, Poland – 8 November 1974, Moscow) was an alleged psychic who became a stage performer.
Messing wrote: "My ability to see the future may seem to contradict the materialist understanding of the world. But there is not a particle of the unknowable or supernatural about precognition... The Future is shaped from the past and the present. There are patterns of connections between them... After an effort of will, I suddenly see the final result of some event flash before me... The time is coming when Humankind will understand all these phenomena. There is nothing strange about it."

And about his telepathic powers: "People's thoughts come to me as pictures. I usually see visual images of a specific action or place. I first put myself into a certain state of relaxation in which I experience a gathering of feeling and strength. Then it's easy to achieve telepathy. I can pick up just about any thought. If I touch the sender, it helps me sort out the thought being sent from the general 'noise.' But contact isn't necessary for me."

Well, I wouldn't put him in my list anyway but I am glad you dont approve his deeds. At least we agree upon Mahatma Gandi.

I'm a little disturbed by Adolf Hitler being cited. The fact that the man is responsible for the 2nd World War and the death of millions of people in a tentative of extermination is certainly interesting to understand human behavior and history but I would certainly not shake the hand of such a man. He is a disgrace for humanity, just look at the shame -even if it is not justified- that carried the Germans for years.

In 1938, the Times certainly published his name because of its influence -and let's remember the general racism that existed then toward certain populations- but he didn't appear again when beginning his actions as a dictator at war. It would be as absurd as having Saddam Hussein or Ben Laden as man of the year because we listen about them everywhere. What would be the catch phrase? "For letting us see the world from another perspective"?

I think I undertand what you mean Kh0i if what you could like is to have Adolf Hitler at your table for instance, to discuss with him and try to understand him. From this point of view, I would agree and even find it interesting. But at the end of the dinner, I would certainly not shake my hand with him, as it is a mark of respect.

You gotta hand it to Hitler though, he was such a charismatic person that he was able to make an entire country follow him and his beliefs. Plus, he was a great military leader (well at least up 'till Operation Barbarossa).
