They’re not big enough to dominate markets, they know how to produce and sell, but may be limited by qualification and/or lack of market opportunities, what’s a veteran to do?

Post off the top of your head best advice for veterans.  List some goals, ideas, actions that can make the game interesting again.

My #1 advice is to come up with a side goal that is not all about the bottom line.  For example, maybe you buy your highest tech allowed on a few weaving mills, buy grain from independent supplier and sell cloth at cost to new players thus creating opportunities for them.

- Optimize your qualification use... the key concept is profit/worker.
- Optimize your business processes and supply chain so you don't spend hours per day in managing your company.

Good advice.  I'm doing that on lien.  I think you need to try out lots of different things and later close down the ones that are less profitable and are hard to maintain.  Switching to warehouses helps.  And there are small ways to deal with equipment mass repair, monitoring of storage, profitability and supply, mass training and salary adjustment.
