great, rather than trying to increase the number of players or talk to players about how to increase their revenue, they've decided to add flashy advertisements to Virtonomics.
 
Not only are they REALLY irritating (trying to draw attention with flashy colours), but they also hamper game play. I just tried to repair some machines. Er, impossible if you don't want to click the add at the bottom first.
 
If these ads continue in this way, I'll be out.
 
If you don't know what I'm on about, play virto in english. It's not the same for all languages.

Ads? u Means Ads from Adchoices in the Bottom of the screen? hmm,,, if u Donate $1k/month to GM, maybe they will stop those ads Cheerfully
maybe GM need more money to pay Server/hosting etc,,, so they placed those ads, i'm a blogger, i know what they trying to do with those google ads,,
(i'm non donations player, so im fine with those ads,, Nyahahahaha)

There are addons for the web browser that automatically "kill" them, that might be the reason for you not seeing them. A google ad is a thing, but a Flash file is another story, specially for slower connections. Depending on the file size it might make the page from slower to unloadable.

I was already so used to the advertisements on various web sites, that don't notice it. In Virtonomics this advertising is almost not noticeable, compared to some other sites.

It's the flash ads that I'm on about. I first noticed those yesterday. They only seem to appear in english. So if you're playing in Russian or Spanish, you might not see them. They're really annoying.
 
What's extra annoying is that it does take an extra second for them to load. This will cause the rest of the page's content to move to the left. So, if you thought you were clicking somewhere, it will make you click something else. Since I'm very impatient, this keeps me from playing the game at this time.
 
Oh: I noticed that Chrome doesn't show those ads. Unfortunately, Chrome doesn't work anymore as a browser for Virtonomics. Somebody reported the bug a while back that there was a layout problem, but it still hasn't been fixed.
 

If anybody has any advice on those add-ons to kill those ads? Any advice on how to get chrome working again? Any advice on how to play virtonomics without having the impression of being in a fairground casino with lots of flashy lights?

I almost didnt notice this, which on my opinion is ok, since in other games those ads or other banners are at the top of the page.
 
Anyway, I'm using Firefox with Adblocker extension, which might help you out with that. So far I've only see small, not-disturbing ad for MMOPRG150 "Vote now" and nothing else.
