I will post updates periodically here in terms of what to expect for changes to rents, projects, and salaries in the city of Espoo, Finland.

Currently, the city is in a -24m balance every turn. Which is not good!

Current changes:

Rent up 5% in warehouses = $ 120,000.00 +- in additional revenue.

Since the rents of this city is VERY low, expect to see a few hikes in rent in the coming days. We need to stabalize this budget and use our balance to help fund municipal projects which WILL benefit you!

Mayor of Espoo,

Globeballa.

I don't have units in that city, but I guess the best choice is rising a bit the rent of the most numerous units. I'm not sure if warehouses are common there, but stores are plentiful everywhere. And considering that the largest size there (if I'm not wrong) is 1.000sqm, they would barely notice any difference. As long as you have an attractive market, you'll have plenty of stores working. And more stores, more profit taxes. Just commenting...

Well its an excellent market. However, people just don't know that. I've had to increase taxes on most buildings now. More to likely come.

welcome to the club of mayors. Sharing your views and strategy is appreciated and i wish you lots of fun being a mayor.

you need to increase that rent 200 times in order to balance your budget. It will take 200 x 14 updates = 2800 real-time days to catch up and it would cost you probably more than 30 Billion to do so.  It will be a little bit faster and cheaper if you increase rent of ALL possible units.

There's no way to get that money back. Now with the electricity reform it gets even worse: Riyadh for example, which was just covering its budget until 2 updates ago, now writes losses of 116 Million a day.

PS: What "municipal projects which WILL benefit" are you planing?

Thanks mike. I have increased the rents in every area. As for projects I'll be implementing them closer to the Virtonomcs October
