Congratulations! You have qualified for the group stage of the Contest for Presidents with the main prize of 1500 VIRTs. The main stage of the contest starts on the first Tuesday of the following month. According to the contest rules by the time of the group stage beginning the participants must have at least 15 points of the management qualification not considering awarded bonuses and purchased Company logo service. You can find the contest rules in My earnings! (Contest rules tab). Good luck!
 
according to my reading of the rules for cp,
9: All participants and players who have taken the places not lower than the 5th ones in the qualification nominations can compete in the main stage of the contest. In addition, by the moment the group stage begins the participants from non-subscription realms need at least 15 points of the Management qualification not considering awarded bonuses and a purchased Company logo service. On the realms with subscription there are no extra requirements to qualify for the group stage;
 
as far as i can tell, i didn't come close to being 5th in any of the nominations.  how could i have qualified for the group stage?

Maybe if a company was already qualified their results were not counted for the next nomination.
 
Eg. Top 5 qualify from nomination 1.
Top 5 for nomination 2 were the same as nomination 1 so positions 6-10 qualify.
 
Without something like this there could be as little as 5 companies competing for the contest - not very exciting and would do little to encourage players.

clarification from admin would be appreciated.
 
not sure it's fair for players who may have tried hard to just to qualify (since there is only 1 prime for qualifying and there's very clear leaders in lien and mary right from the start)
 
now, just seems if we're in the cp to start with, have 10 management Q and either have a logo or willing to buy one for 5 pts/virts, we're in the main stage.
 
agree with Fractal that to follow the exact wording of 'top 5 from each nomination' may result in perhaps 10 players in the main stage, but still, would not be fair for anyone who may have spent points or lots of virt$ for the qualification.

If a participant gets to the Contest for Presidents from the final stage of the Contest for Directors, the participant qualifies for the group stage regardless of the place taken.

then suggest the rules for the CP be changed slightly so it becomes more clear:
 
current rules:
2) Director is a participant of the completed contests for directors who has taken the place not lower than the fifth one in any of the nominations OR has the qualification in Management not lower than 10 not considering awarded bonuses by the moment of the contest completion;
7) During the qualification the participants compete for the possibility to take part in the group stage and to get the Sponsor President title which gives +5 to all qualifications.....
 
9) All participants and players who have taken the places not lower than the 5th ones in the qualification nominations can compete in the main stage of the contest. In addition, by the moment the group stage begins the participants from non-subscription realms need at least 15 points of the Management qualification not considering awarded bonuses and a purchased Company logo service. On the realms with subscription there are no extra requirements to qualify for the group stage;
 
suggest change to the beginning of clause 9:
Participants who has ranked higher than the 6th position in any of the nominations for the previously completed Contest for Directors OR players who have taken the places not lower than the 5th ones in the qualification nominations can compete in the main stage of the contest.
