I decided to create my own reference of errors and problems with Virtonomics' financial statements - i.e. any kinds of reports providing situational information about the company or its subdivisions. Whenever appropriate, I will edit and update the initial post / listing.
+ I had taken some billions of credit via bonds. The day that I repaid my bonds at par value, the full par value payment is shown as "financing cost" in my Profit and Loss statement. It's wrong. Sure, the payment results in a negative cash flow, but only the fraction of "financing cost" (interest rate / disagio) results in a loss. Effect: my Financial overview reports are useless and misleading in any week I do trade other companies' bonds. (Sep 2020)
+ same Profit vs Cash Flow issue also mentioned here. Effect: The financial overview is wrong and misleading as to the question of profits - whenever I invest in assets (equip factory, repair equipment, even pile up strategic stocks).
+ My daily update shows a huge loss of $37 billion (negative profit). So I check my company profit & loss report: it shows a "Financing Cost" of $42bn. This is plain WRONG. I did a financial investment and bought other company's bonds paying $42bn (cash flow), under the par value of $50bn. I.e. the other company will book "financing costs" of $50-$42 = $8bn at some point in time. If all goes well, I will book $8bn in profit at the end of term. EFFECT: my Financial overview reports are useless and misleading in any week I do trade other companies' bonds. (Aug 2020)
