Reports is vital instrument to analyze the business - however standard "sorting" functionality does not work at all.
1) "MyCompany" > "Reports"
2) "Marketing" > "City Retail"
3) Click on any column header for sorting, e.g. "Sales Volume"
 Result: the table reloads, the header indicates ascending or descending sorting, but the records remain unsorted (default order)
 
Browsers: Firefox 69.0.3; Opera 63.0.3368.107

I found the sorting SOMETIMES works, and most of the times DOES NOT work (as described above)

I am having the same issue.
 
The response from tech support was "Try sorting in a different browser. We checked the algorithm, it works. Please tell me which browser you are using."
 
I think it is an update issue.

TODAY, it's the other way around   Eyes in a heap:
 
in Firefox, sorting DOES NOT work  ('price' column):
 
 
but in Opera, sorting works just FINE:
 
 
I suspect this is quite a naughty "bug". Maybe it even has to do with the data available in the report / database per a specific day.
