to me it seems the market for technologies is highly inefficient. In my opinion there is many reasons for this. Let me give some examples from my Point of View:
1) the technology market per se is rather complex. Technologies vs licenses. Bidding mechanisms.
2) the manual may be accurate, covers a lot! In my opinion however, the explication could and should even more simplify understanding. Accuracy is less important than easy and intuitive understanding. E.g. the "Bidding 2nd stage" example is comprehensive - yet all but easy to read. How about using Table or graphics? http://wiki.virtonomics.com/index.php/Principles:Science#Sellers_offers
3) The User Interface of all the Tech related offerings is all but user friendly. Prime candidate for rework.
4) Bugs: Is it intended or bug that I cannot change the price of a technology ? Whatsoever value I update my inital offering to, the system will not update and stick to my first offered price.
I found for first offers, the same happens, but system sticks to the initially 'suggested' average market price.
Well, either the system does not update according to my inputs - or at least the UI does not transparently represent the current status of my (planned) offerings. In this case -> see 3)
Another one: e.g. I clicked in management menu "stop sale of technology". Then again in Laboratory menu "sell" and set a price. Even after refresh, the UI in management menu still shows "the offer is withdrawn".
5) Market Analysis and Transparency: I once happened to stumbled across a very interesting market analysis, showing how many licenses (or technologies?) were sold per each e.g. plant/techlevel. But with all may efforts, I cannot find it again.
I think the technology market subject is fascinating. Just now in Germany, the 5G radio licenses were state auctioned. Fascinating how much detail Virtonomics put into it's game model. I appreciate this a lot! For the last mile, there's not missing a lot to get full traction.
I am putting in this feedback, as it is the first step and can help you guys improve the situation - in case you see a need and value in it ;)
Or otherwise, this market niche will help the most expert and freaky market participants reap advantage of the situation - I'm on my way ;))
