Trying to buy an oil mine in Ho Chi Minh City
 
I bought 5 game points (5 dollars worth)
Went to buy oil mine (that is one of three of mines I can choose from that is on sale)
Page refreshes, no game points lost and no oil mine anywhere to be found
 
This is with google chrome. But I'll try internet explorer next.

Seems happens with internet explorer too. I tried a different city and have same problem.
 
Why can't I buy the oil mine? I have enough game points.

I can't buy a gold mine either.
 
So I can't buy any of the bonus sets. And they say they have 23 days left, so I haven't run out of time

Looks like after buying game points, it takes the next game "tick" to allow you to spend them. I was able to buy the oil bonus set, and next month will buy next two mines.

Not really, I’ve bought points and then immediately was able to buy a farm.

That is weird. It wouldn't let me spend them until the game tick. Ah well, it worked eventually.
