If I have 20 restaurants buying goods directly and the supply stops, I have to create 20 new contracts. If my 20 restaurants buy from a warehouse, I only need 1 new contract.
This is precisely what makes me propose this change. I like ordering supply for my sales units (store,restaurant, etc) from my own WH, which in turn gets its supply from multiple suppliers. For rare goods, suppliers tend to set a limit on how much one unit can order. I think there are multiple reasons for this (limit #1), such as searching for optimal price, helping startup companies, etc. This limit can be circumvented by setting up many WH, which often (1) makes supply unstable (2) force suppliers to set smaller limits. Implementing limit #2 would help with this problem and make supply more stable. If you know a supplier can only supply 15 of your restaurants long-term, you could simply sign additional contracts at the beginning when you open the 20 restaurants. Also, suppliers can better gauge the demand in the long run and reduce the effort of opening/closing factories.
Why not just have one limit per company? For example, instead of setting a limit of 1000 per order and a limit of 15 orders per company, why not just have one limit of 15000 per company?
