Says using honey instead of sugar reduces the quality. Since honey is healthier than sugar, it should increase the quality. I'm thinking there was a typo because production volume is cut in half with honey so there needs to be higher quality to compensate or it wouldn't be worth producing.

Specialization which uses free raw material (honey, unlike sugar, can be made/obtained from independent suppler) has lower output (and higher prime cost) and quality penalty.
 
If free specialization would be better than the paid one, nobody would buy sugar farms and developers wouldn't have salary to work on amazing updates, such as adding free beekeeping  Very we!
 
Now people who play for free have got 3 new products which they can make without sugar. People who want to buy sugar farm getting some benefits as well: higher quality, better output, lower prime cost and better use of production qualifications (they need 2-4 time less workers).

Sugar has an independent supplier on Lien and Mary realm selling it for $1.20
 
I checked and saw there was no independent supplier on Vera and Olga realms so what you wrote makes sense for those realms but no one will use honey on Lien or Mary or will the independent supplier disappear soon?

Wow that is fun. I didn't know that...
 
You guys are lucky... For now.
 
If there is an independent suppler of sugar then what you say makes total sense. We'll see what we can do.
 
I don't think that it would be good to make different specializations for different realms, makes game even more confusing. I'd say: enjoy how things are at the moment because by bringing this up you may cause cancellation of sugar as independent supplyer Very we!

The quality of cornflakes produced out of honey will be higher once higher technologies are available:
 
Q10.00 + Q10.00 + Q10.00 + Q25.00 ⤇ T20⤇ Q23.94

So in spite of that deceptive -25%, honeyflake is the specialization that provides higher quality alternative and the numbers in factory datasheet are somehow compatible with the previous procedure: high quality specialization=lower production rate.
 
Sugar production on mary is quite limited and maybe some sawmill owners switch to the new specialization sooner than we expect. Still 50% penalty on production rate can be a bit high and I agree with you on that Yes
