suppose i have a chocolate factory producing sweets. Now i wanna switch to produce chocolate which requires milk supply. Is there a way to get the milk supply without suspending the production ? (if i change the specialization and order milk supply, the factory will stop working next round)
 
If it's not possible, could it be a good idea to make it possible?

i have a feeling, i am not totally sure but i believe whatever raw materials you have in stock are used up in the update.
 
eg if you had products to make sweets in stock then changed the spec to produce choc and ordered milk the cacoa and sugar would get used up in the update then the next turn you would have milk and cocoa

It may be a good idea but just in case he used those goods before and left them there just in case - which probably didn't happen Well

no. you will loose one day of production if you change to another specialization the first time, unless there are goods already on stock for that new product. stock supplies are invisible when they are not used in current specialization but appear again when changing back to a previous specialization.
