I don't know too much about the politics in Virtonomics, so I was wondering a couple things:

- Do country, regional or city losses have any negative impact on say; unemployment, retail, services, local  quality/prices etc? And would turning the budget into a surplus improve it's economy? - If yes, do unmanaged countries, regions or cities suffer from the effects as well? And do the "contributions from political party" remove any negative effects (due to the budget turning to zero instead of a negative).

- Where does the money come from to fund the losses in unmanaged cities?

- Apart from the municipal projects / retail projects (and potentially the above) from mayors is there any other way to improve retail and services at any political level?

- Do tax rates affect anyone else than the player? (for example: the local quality/prices or unemployment)?

- Does player jobs and activity in the city affect unemployment?

- Do retail and services etc. suffer from unemployment?

And just in general - in what other ways can the politics in countries / regions / cities affect the local economy (apart from the municipal and retail projects).

- no, there is no impact
- Diska pays for it :-)
- If I understand correctly, you can increase salary expectations: more salary = more spending
- no
- absolutely!
- probably as the citizens make less money, and as such spend less

Mind you, I haven't tested any of the above empirically, so if anybody feels like correcting me, go ahead...

Yes. I did the same thing for a short period of political activity. Now I'm not sure if it was the correct decision. Later I started to think attracting Labs, Hospitals and Offices, probably, is the better way. Launching Standard-100 is the way to attract Labs. But to be honest I don't know how one can attract Hospitals to a city.

Anyway, once Joe visited us and started a similar discussion. I'm still curious to hear other opinions, but not many people are willing to share.
IT'S JUST BUSINESS!
