The only option I seem to have is Compound Feed. There are only 2 suppliers. One is extremely expensive, the other apparently won't, or can't, sell to me.

Sheep eat clover, potato, grain or compound feed. Check this manual of sheep farm:

Either you want to produce sheep for yourself or for sale, it does not seem to be a good idea to feed them with overpriced Compound Feed. That overpriced Compound Feed is for special purposes; it's not for a beginner company. And the volume is limited to 100. So basically you can only feed 35 sheep maximum. Change the specialisation and feed them with cheap grain.

PS: Sweden is not a good location for productions targeted for export. Government will charge anything leaving Sweden a cruel 300%. It only makes sense to produce in Sweden for local consumption. So if you produce sheep for export, your business plan simply sucks. If you produce to populate your own farms, it dose not make sense to produce sheep better than 2.66, since you will not be able to feed them with cheap grain later. So you really have no option but grain, anything else and you will be stuck in future. And don;t trust prices you see. 90% of what is on the market is overpriced.

Populating new firms in Sweden probably causes them only trouble, not safety.
IT'S JUST BUSINESS!
