Greetings,
 
I was wondering what will happen if I take a second starter chest that includes a pickaxe on the same server. Do they stack, the duration adds up but not stack, just reset the duration or simply removes the pickaxe from the chest?
 
Have anyone tried it yet?

Edit: Yes, they stack. If you search for the top companies under Community --> Company ratings, there are a few companies that have oil wells, gold mines, and copper mines plus 3 pickaxe awards. If you hover over them, it shows +5 to qualifications for each one for a total of +15. See https://virtonomics.com/nika/main/user/view/601071 ... for an example.

Keep in mind that copper is available at low cost from an independent supplier. If you go to Analytics --> Reference and click on copper pyrites at https://virtonomics.com/nika/main/product/info/370070 ... you'll see that duralumin is the only other thing you can produce with copper pyrites. If you click on duralumin, you'll see it's mostly used for producing cars which require 12 or 13 materials for production and some of them require other materials (like Q2 oil for thermoplastic) so you might need 20 factories to produce cars which I would only recommend for advanced players. Stay away from airplanes. The cost to produce them is enormous and far more than anyone will pay for them so you're guaranteed to lose money.

As for the pickaxes, I believe they do stack. I found this blog by TyStuff (http://www.blog.virtonomics.nl/) and back then it did stack.  Also, in the example user you've sent, the bonus was 18, which would match the 3 pickaxes + the helmet (which now I must figure out how to get).
 
As for the copper, I can't believe I didn't notice the independent supplier! I must check if Mary has one too. If so, I may grab the oil pack or just save the points instead.
 
And yeah... I'm keeping things simple for now. Working on the baby stuff that had cheap materials and expanding Uncle's business on Mary.

You're right. For some reason I thought the bonus was +15 each instead of +5. Every bonus I've had has stacked so it makes sense these also stack.
 
Oil has an independent supplier too. You can produce Q4 oil initially but once your equipment wears out you'll have to wait 3 or 4 months for someone to research tech 10 mining equipment to repair it if you're on Nika realm.
