i really dont undertand how labs work. i am in the process of building one so i though i ought to know. how does the number of scientists affect research speed and well basically just explain to me the stages of research please.

Basically for every tech you research you have to go through 3 stages, mentioned in the links above.
For now just remember to choose a hypothesis every time your lab finishes the 1st stage.
Also, each scientist uses 10 devices so make sure you set the lab up in this ratio.
