Yes, but you don't gain any sort of advantage with 1 product.
 
There are 2 schools of thought on retail:
 
1. Make it a specialist store, selling just 1 kind of product range (foodstuffs)
2. Make it a general store, selling every kind of product
 
Both have their advantages and disadvantages. I have the 5th or 6th biggest store in Bangkok going the 2nd route, and selling about 25 different products, making $110m/turn...And I'm majorly strapped on some products, still.
