Under what circumstances should I start thinking about having a 2nd Office?
What effect will it have on my current Q?

You should start thinking about a 2nd (and 3rd...) office as soon as possible.

As long as your management qualification is high enough to handle the total number of office staff you should not have any problems.

you should open / maintain as many offices and subdivisions as your qualification allows (minimum safety factor...) because if you under-utilize your qualifications they will grow slower.

Be careful if you receive bonuses (super-manager or quest-related bonuses) because they will disappear after some time and that means you may not sustain your expansions with the remaining Q; in that case you may need to put subdivisions on holidays and dismiss office workers so not to over-extend your Q, because that also slows down the Q growth.

Thanks for the feedback. Here's my situation:

Management Q at 6 (+2 from super manager)
1 office (50 workplace)
5 subdivisions

Was starting to feel that my management Q is not growing as quickly as when I first started.
So I should build an additional office to facilitate the growth of management Q while the super manager is still in effect?

there is a management requirement for each office as well as for overall total number of office staff.

i have found that having a few offices with different enterprises seem to help my management qualification growth as well as not tax any one office too much.

for example, one office only looks after a store with a little advertising, another office has 2 or 3 factories, a third has the lab.

each enterprise requires a certain number of office workers.  by spreading the load, i do not need to have any one office have too many workers for my qualification.

good luck
