Some of the rules for the Manager's contest says:
6. The prize of the daily CM is 200 VIRTs: there are 5 nominations with the prize of 30 VIRTs (the first prize is 18 VIRTs, the second prize – 9 VIRTs, and the third prize – 3 VIRTs), there is also a prime award of 50 VIRTs;
9. A player can only get one prize in VIRTs. In case he/she wins in two or more nominations the player gets the biggest prize; as for the left VIRTs, they are returned to the budget. However, in this case the player is awarded with all badges he/she has won;
10. The prime award of the CM goes to a player who has won at least one prize in one of the main nominations and has the highest amount of VIRTs on his/her account right after sizing up for the main nominations. All legally earned VIRTs, including the ones just won, are taken into account. The prime award is given to a player on condition that his/her total amount of VIRTs won in the CM is at least 50 VIRTs;
 
This means to me that one player can only win a maximum of 18 Virts - first price in any one of the nominations
 
But what does "on condition that his/her total amount of VIRTs won in the CM is at least 50 VIRTs;" mean?  does the prime award consideration include the 50 VIRTs for the prime award?

Fractal,  the Manager's Contest is for players who started (or re started) on the same day.  As such, there is a daily batch of players who have played for 30 updates since they have started and therefore there is a daily prize for each batch of 30-update-old players.
 
each day for each group, there is supposed to be a potential 200 Virts: 18 for 1st prize, 9 for 2nd and 3 for third in each of 5 nominations.  30 virts for each nomination * 5, then a prime award of 50 virts.
 
question is the condition for the prime award:
"on condition that his/her total amount of VIRTs won in the CM is at least 50 VIRTs;"
 
since one player can only win a maximum of 18 virts (rule 9), my guess is that the condition is either never met, or that the prime award is taken into consideration for the condition.  
 
i just wanted to have it clarified by Admin before my CM is finished...

since one player can only win a maximum of 18 virts (rule 9), my guess is that the condition is either never met, or that the prime award is taken into consideration for the condition.  

ok i'm not having an official information on this one but here's my 2 cents:
 
Contests and tenders are to enhance game play, it doesn't mean that everything is free and and that you can win on top of that. There's no snowman when you start now. To win the manager contest you need Management level 10 and there's a very tiny chance to get there without spending game points. If you would spend a bunch of them, you'd  start participating in the tenders right away and after winning 7 of them you got 35 virts. Adding the 18 from top manager win, you will have 50 virts....
 
It therefore makes some sense that players can't participate in tenders if they're below Q10 because otherwise, virtonomics would never make any money... the whole thing is an encouragement for new players to win back some of their investment.

If you would spend a bunch of them, you'd  start participating in the tenders right away and after winning 7 of them you got 35 virts. Adding the 18 from top manager win, you will have 50 virts....

beg to differ, Mike
the quoted rule is:
"on condition that his/her total amount of VIRTs won in the CM is at least 50 VIRTs;"
 
which suggests to me the prime award is taken into consideration

i'd like to add that i received the following response from the administration:

1. Answer on Forum. We will correct text.

2. Yes, legal all VIRT include tenders and friends earning.

so one player can only win a maximum of 18 Virts as prize.  regarding rule 10 about ALL VIRTS won on the current CM,
to be at least 50 VIRTs, does it mean ALL VIRTs that could have been won in the current CM?
 
that is, one player needs to win either 1st prize in at least 3 nominations (3 *18 = 54), or 1st prize in one nomination, and 4 2nd prizes (1 * 18 + 4 * 9 =  54) or 1st prize in 2 nominations and 2nd prize in 2 nominations, etc --- that is, some combination involving winning multiple nominations which add up to more than 50 VIRTs, though the player only gets one 18 VIRTs for the first prize?

For example 5 players won 5 gold medals (18 VIRT)
18x5 = 90 > 50 => One of this five won super-prize (50 VIRT)
So daily budget in this example = 140 VIRT

So there has to be at least 3 different winners over all the nominations for a prime award to be given?
 
Or several different players get 2nd place?
 
Eg. Player 1 wins all nominations -> 18 VIRTs
Player 2 gets 2nd in 2 nominations -> 9 VIRTs
Players 3, 4 and 5 get 2nd in a nomination -> 9 VIRTs each
 
18+9+9+9+9 = 54
54 > 50 so a prime award is given.
 
Is this correct?
This seems a strange way to do it as you will be rewarded less if you win more?
Under these conditions it will be beneficial to concentrate on 1 or 2 areas and ignore the rest?
Does it still count if winners do not have management qualification level 10?

Fractal's examples (or other combinations) should work too, so long as the total winnings is more than 50 Virts?
 
think the manager and director contests are a bit more fair than the tenders - players with similar experience in the game compete against each other.  rules for qualifying and winning the manager's contest still seem harsh if there are not at least 3 players who can qualify and win on the same day..  ? would admin consider revising the rules ?
