turkbostjan, you may just move your super-animals to shelters for sale (in the same farms where animals lives). In this case animals will not demand forage. So you may save livestock in this shelters, waiting better time..

Just watch the storage expenses, when enterprises go above 100% the storage costs increase exponentially.
 
If you move half to saleyard then fill the farm back up with cheap q1 animals you'll still be able to produce goods with decent quality and independant supplier grain may be enough to prevent animals dying. The downside is you'll only have half the animals at the original high quality.

yeah, i'm aware of that...i would establish my own grain farm, but i'm not stupid to pay so much points (and €) for the size i need potentialy
