We are glad to offer you a new interesting and helpful opportunity to change parameters of subdivisions – Innovations.
Innovations are divided by classes (based on compatibility with different classes of units and type of slots they can be placed in), types (purchased for game points or virtocash), sizes ((based on compatibility with different units’ sizes) and levels (based on the level of impact on different parameters).
 
The Innovation is implemented by placing it to a free unit slot.
Hence, the Innovation class shows the type of slot and the type of unit it can be placed to.
There are 10 slots available for the subdivision:
 
Personnel, Management, Warehouse, Marketing, Retail, Production, Land use , Livestock breeding, Research, Other.
 
Each subdivision has certain slots for Innovations’ installation:
 
1. Office (4): Personnel, Management, Marketing, Other.
2. Shop (6):  Personnel, Management, Warehouse, Marketing, Retail, Other.
3. Warehouse (2): Warehouse, Other.
4. Factory (5): Personnel, Management, Warehouse, Production, Other.
5. Mill (5): Personnel, Management, Warehouse, Production, Other.
6. Mine (5): Personnel, Management, Warehouse, Production, Other.
7. Agricultural farm (5): Personnel, Management, Warehouse, Production, Other.
8. Plantation (5): Personnel, Management, Warehouse, Production, Other.
9. Sawmill (5): Personnel, Management, Warehouse, Production, Other.
10. Livestock farm (5): Personnel, Management, Warehouse, Production, Other.
11. Laboratory (4): Personnel, Management, Research, Other.
 
Innovation can be placed only to the slot of its class and to the unit of appropriate size.
 
The Subdivision Page has been updated with the menu of the slots for the unit. The slots, available for the installation of Innovation, are marked with green + sign. You will see allt the Innovations, available for the subdivision in a pop-up window after clicking on the + sign.
 
Installation of each Innovation has certain price, certain weekly maintenance cost, and terms of usage.
The impact rate of the Innovation purchase for the game points is decreased twice every time  the subdivision size is changed.
 
The impact rate of the Innovation purchase for the virtocash turns 0 whenever  the subdivision size is changed.
In case the subdivision’ size gets back to its original size, the Innovation impact returns to original figures for both types.
 
After this one can purchase a new Innovation appropriate for subdivision’ size. From this moment  the existing Innovation becomes unavailable.
 
The installed Innovation can not be used for the second time; it means the Innovation can not be extracted from the slot, but can be only destroyed. Only after this the new Innovation can be installed.
In case the subdivision is sold, the Innovation will be automatically transferred to the new owner.

I understand flaw costs to be "losses" as listed in the expenses structure section of the financial reports.
 
Energy costs are also listed as expenses in the financial reports (company and subdivision).

I have one question. For example, when I applied an invention with 365 real days term at Size 1. Then, do the invention expired when I upgraded my factory to Size 2 or will it continue until the term expired?

If the invention was paid for with virtual cash it's gonna stay after you change the size of your factory, but it's not gonna influence its operation. If it was paid for with game points its influence on your factory will decrease twice.
