The Government of Virtonomics is pleased to inform you that the works on multidimensional reform of equipment have been completed.
 
Please find below the essence of the reform:
 
1. Computers become the obligatory office equipment. Employees without computers will not work while the wages will be charged from the employer. The government will fit all the offices with computers of qualification level 1 free of charge.
 
2. The equipment will be depreciated for all subdivisions (computers) and laboratories (devices).
 
3. 2 factors of depreciation have been added to those existing: equipment quality (the higher is the quality, the lower is depreciation), and personnel’ qualification (the higher is the qualification of the personnel, the lower is depreciation). Please note that qualification of the personnel should be equal to quality of equipment: low-skilled employees can normally use the standard machines, but will ruin high-quality equipment fast.
 
More interesting and useful updates will be soon done in terms of the reform of equipment.

I would say more, for the first time ever I am seeing wear on my equipment. 5 or 6 days of no wear, now it is increasing slightly each day.

I'm going to have to double wages to stop them ruining my equipment despite not needing that qualification for the tech level of my factory.... sigh...

The staff qualification has to match the equipment quality. For example, employees of lower qualificication will take little time to break quality equipment, while highly qualified specialists can't work well using bad equipment. Therefore, if the qualification of employees and the quality of equipment match the requirments of technology, the work results will encrease.

i've matched the staff qualification to the equipment quality in a factory in London; the result was that the efficiency crashed from 100% to below 70%. had to set it back to match the level required by the technology rather than the equipment quality?

some days ago it happened with more than one factory but   i dont' remember which ones ... after i changed it back the efficiency went back up also.
 
Your answer suggests this shouldn't be so i'm gonna try again and report 2morrow.

so, your employees are smarter than their top manager, which lowers his efficiency.
The technology level requires the equipment of less quality than you've got now and your employees are more qualified than they need to be at this stage.

I found this thread a bit misleading but we have it confirmed:
 
the worker qualification shall match the one required by technology, if its to high / matching the machine quality the efficiency will suffer. It should be related to the technology level applied.
 
JuleBNC, i made a mistake when i expanded it. Ill be more than happy to sell it to you.. i think its good you play and try a bit more yourself before giving kamikaze-advise to the players To you
