Hey everybody,
 
quick question: which commerce level do i need to be able to expand store size from 1k to 10k? Or is there any other qualification (management?) i need?

Hi. we are not bound to any commerce level to expand store size.
if you are in Sweden, you cannot expand because there is a limit to store size in Sweden (max 1000 sqm). check Menu-> Analytics-> Bonuses and Restrictions to see all the limitations in various areas.
 
There was a post by VLLord which recommended store size for various levels of commerce quailification. search it, i'm lazy to do it for you. (notice: i am not totally in agreement with any rule of thumb like that, but VLLord is an experienced player and his recommendations usually contains good advice.)
