For me working interface would be better than pretty interface.
 
I've just built new factory and now I can't buy any equipment for it.
I've tried "Management" link, I've also tried "Buy and repair equipment" link - "Buy for: $...." button does not produce any noticeable results. Even sorting by quality in the dialog resets to default most of the time.

Same thing happened to me. I scrapped some machines in a factory and tried to put higher quality ones. And now my factory in idle, because the BUY button is not not working!

Ok, I don't really tend to complain, but this your new look you are working on is just not working, to put it really mildly. Everything you did I prefer and use the old look as it is much more intuitive and practical. Latest fail is the supply page in factories. I needed two clicks to cancel orders in the old look. It looks like I have to cancel one by one in the new one.

You can't select all contracts with one click.

The new look is not useful and practical. It takes quite a while to get the orders. Previously, I was able to handle all orders with one click.

- filling a store - I choose product group, order product. Next product I have to choose product group again. Product after product...
- I can't place an order in my factory if factory already sold everything or have 0 stock. This is very useful feature to me.

I can't place an order in my factory if factory already sold everything or have 0 stock. This is very useful feature to me.
the contract is there - the new interface just does not show it. switch to old interface and it will show up with the accustomed pink ribbon over it.

I don't think we understand each other. I want to sign a new supply contract. New system shows only options with stock inside (I want to order from a factory where production is already sold out). I need this for two reasons:
1. Tenders - for temporary units I just change the order in the factory without cancelling existing contracts
2. Waiting list. I have over 1000 stores. Even if I don't have some product, I take a supply contract which will be fullfilled once I will expand production. Otherwise I would have to check one by one where I need to sell that specific item.
 

Btw - I have to click twice to get to old supply system (which anyway doesn't work anymore) EVERY time I click on supply page.

no we don't. probably because i make the contract from the source most often.
if you want to see the sellers with zero supply form the destination side, you should use filter and remove the "available from 1". then those enterprises with no stock will appear.
 
of course you know these things, but you seem to be too frustrated about the new interface that you lost your head.

He has a point Wonson. With the old interface pop-up window, where you choose new suppliers, you could see your own subdivisions even if they had zero goods available. The new interface however filters them out, which I agree is not practical.

well, of course he has a point. but i do too: the new interface has drove everyone mad.
 
apart form the malfunctions observed and reported, i believe this new supply page is too irritating to the eye. F. Hundertwasser used to say "that heretic straight line irritates the eye", or something like that. i don't know the exact phrase he used to say. A personal experience on this concept: they built a new extreme, extra plus modern building in a city not very close to mine. It was oblique with lots of oblique and vertical lines in all directions. what an architect. he believed this is what a modern man does. when I was there in a taxi, the driver told me the car accident in this expressway has increased by 1500% since they built the building.
 
The point is that this page is visually too irritating, specially if there are several items listed. many straight lines and boxes interfere with the eye movement. the previous design was very clear, lots of white background to let the eye rest. this is of course not something i invented. this is a concept in art and design. overall the new look is beautiful when you look at it as a tourist, but the person who wants to concentrate and use the information gets mad.

I actually didn't know that - perhaps I forgot as I had it on this value for years and I don't use advanced filters at all. Still, in the new look advanced filter I again have to set it to 0 every single time I click supply. Good, they brought the old view back.
 
Prime example of "visually irritating" page is the qualification page. Old view, first thing eye catched is the progress of your skills. Than you can check all of the detailed numbers if needed and only 5 numbers per qualification are posted. In the new look, the thing you see first are the total numbers of every qualification, which doesn't really say a lot. What does 138 management qualification mean? This number is than repeated two more times in the same bracket and total number of numbers in each qualification is 8, but they don't really provide any more information than old view. I accept that people tastes are different, but new look just doesn't work for me. But perhaps it can win an art award Very we!
