be it through superauctions or the sponsorship of the contest for tycoons, at times there are opportunities to increase your qualifications with a +1 or even more. So my question is: what's the economic value of this?
 
Higher management skill allows you to better exploit interesting regions. Better science skill allows you to research higher techs. Better services skills allow you to up the bar for the service level and at the same time open up more subdivisions of these types. Etcetera...
 
So, there is a monetary daily value to an increase in qualifications. Both direct from being able to do more business and indirect (more business in certain regions, better techs in labs and factories, better service levels, ...). Even IF you could make an accurate guess calculation of this amount, how do you translate this to a lump sum in virtual$ or let alone points (for the superauctions)?

I will gladly pay $50 million for one +1 on any qualification, maybe even more.
 
Sometimes, you find yourself unable to run more factories, stores, labs, in rare case even offices. And there exists enough demand in the market that you could have fulfilled if you had higher qualification.
 
The problem (from the game's point of view) with this is that the rich keep getting richer...lol.
More money makes you more money.

Just 50 million at the moment.
 
For a +1 to everything, maybe 1 billlion.
 
Only a few players have trillions like you (and are actively playing, not dead profiles). I would say maybe 30-40 at most (there's 200 trillionaires, but most of them are dead profiles). Everyone else is below a trillion. And even amongst them, most are dead profiles.
 
So maybe if they want to introduce something like that, they should aim it at lower level players with less than $5 million assets, so they can grow faster. Put a small price on qualification like say $500k per +1 on any qualification. That would make sense. Maybe do it on special occasions with an ad campaign to attract more players etc.
 
Me, I would pay $1 billion, no more at the moment (since I'm kind of poor right now with only 40 billion haha)

Looking at current prices paid for points in auction and super auctions:
Auction: ~100 to 200B for a one point barn
Latest superauctions: +2all going for ~10 points and +3 specific going for 3 points.
 
The value would be about:
~500B - 1T for +1 all and,
~100B - 200B for +1 specific
 
Which seem like decent prices.
And if I recall correctly you would've had to donate 300B or more (5T? for #1) at the latest contest for tycoons to get +1 all which supports those prices.
 
Obviously Faiez is right about how those prices would be insane for newer players, but then again getting higher qualification is much easier and quicker for new players aswell.
