 Today we would like to present a report on what we have been busy doing for the last couple of months. During this time we have revised and changed the majority of all aspects in our tenders and regular contests. (Contest for Managers, Contest for Directors, and Contest for Presidents). We have also created a new Contest for Tycoons that would be among our regular competitions. Contest for Tycoons This new type of contest is for every player regardless how many years, months, days he or she has spent in the game in total. In this contest the established players will have the chance to shine and the newbies, perhaps, will also be able to beat Virtonomics veterans. I. Regularity of the contest and prizes The Contest for Tycoons will start when the required sum of funds (50 trillion and/or 1000 points (i.e. 1 point equals 50 billion) will be collected on our newly created fundraising page. The rating process is blind (the rating is given without disclosing the sum of payment). Top-10 sponsors receive badges of various degrees - III (+1 for all qualifications), II (+3) or I (+5). The degree of the received badges depend on the number of sponsors- if the players get into the tops for the first time, they receive a III degree badge, the second time-II degree badge, the third time-the I degree badge. III and II degree are not immune, it means that at the beginning of the next contest they either go up in the ranking or are completely deleted. Only the I degree status is immune and it gives the chance to compete for the second, third, and so on badges). The prizes for the contest are the badges, VIRTS received in additional tenders, and special awards, which will be described later in this post. II. Nominations The contest will last one week plus one additional week for the preparation for the contest from the date when the fundraising campaign is finished. IIa. Shagreen Contest. The city for the Shagreen contest is selected based on the status of the sponsors. The selection is made among the cities, the mayors of which are top sponsors. The winning city becomes not only the place, where the contest is held, but also receives a World Wonder - "World Trade Show" The winner of the contest is selected based on the amount of the proceeds from the sale of shagreen, the contests' special product, in the stores of the city selected for the nomination. Shagreen is a unique mystery product, which Virtonomics introduces just for the time of the Contest for Tycoons. Each participant of the contest receives a package of shagreen and a 1000 sq.m. store. This happens a game update before the start of the contest or during the registration, in case the contest has already started or about to start during the nearest update. The product description of shagreen is similar to the descriptions of regular goods, but at the same time shagreen is sold as a separate product. The system calculates the proceeds from the sale of the shagreen (received at the beginning of the contest) in any 1000 sq.m. stores of the contest city. The contest participants are not allowed to sell "someone else's" shagreen, no matter how obtained. At the end of the contest, the unsold volumes of shagreen will disappear. IIb. World Cuisines. Virtostandard of restaurants in the region selected based on the amount of sponsors for randomly selected restaurant specialization. The winning region receives a World Wonder "Culinary Mecca" until the next contest starts. Virtostandard of restaurants. During a seven-day contest, the system calculates the profit made by every restaurant of the contest's participants in the selected region. The region has to have the restaurant specialization selected for the nomination. The final rating is based on the biggest sum of three daily rating indicators of the best restaurant during the whole contest. The taxable profit indicators are also taken into account. Buying and repairing equipment as well as other expenses, which do not decrease the tax base in Virtonomics, do not decrease the profit indicators, which contribute to the overall rating. IIc. Tender collider. The country is selected based on the number of sponsors. The winnings in professional tenders are taken into account. At the same time, everyday additional professional league tenders are held. The amount of tenders and the prizes won in those tenders depend on the collected prize fund.
The country selected for the contest receives a World Wonder "Tender collider" until the next contest starts. This Wonder creates two additional tenders (one in professional league with 1 VIRT prize and another one in amateur league with qualification experience prize) everyday. The participants of the contest has to win (it means registering for the contest and winning the first place) in as many tenders as possible, receiving a point for every win. All regular professional league tenders are taken into account as well as additional professional tenders, created specifically for the contest in the country selected for the nomination. III. Other. The registration procedure for the contest is standard and obligatory. The requirement is as usual- 10 in " Management" category. World Trade Show A unique project . The World Trade Show is held in the city, which has become a place of the “Shagreen” nomination in the regularly held Contest for Tycoons. The World Trade Show opens immediately after the Contest for Tycoons has finished and works until another country is granted the right to open the Word Trade Show on its territory. In the host country of The Word Trade Show, the cash flow on retail products and service sector increases two and a half times , which positively affects the development of all retail and service sector niches. It does not matter if the country has a governor or not. Culinary Mecca A unique project. The country announced a “Culinary Mecca” is the one, which has become a place of the “World Cuisines” nomination in the regularly held Contest for Tycoons. The project is launched immediately after the Contest for Tycoons has finished and lasts until another country is announced a culinary Mecca. The number of restaurant visitors increases two and a half times in the region, which has become a culinary Mecca. It does not matter if the country has a governor or not. Regulation on placing the tender collider on the country's territory A unique project. The country granted the right to place the tender collider on its territory is the one, which has become a place of the nomination of the same name in the regularly held Contest for Tycoons. The collider is launched immediately after the Contest for Tycoons has finished and continues to operate until another country is granted the right to place it on its territory. Two additional tenders (one in professional league with 1 VIRT prize and another one in amateur league with qualification experience prize) are held everyday in the country, where the collider is placed. It does not matter if the country has a governor or not. The changes in tenders The competitions with VIRT prizes were excluded from the amateur league. However, the bonuses for winning other competitions have increased two times. On the other hand, the tenders, where it was possible to win qualification bonuses, have been excluded from professional tenders, from now on it will be possible to compete for VIRTs only. The new configuration of tenders on realms will be as follows: VERA and OlGA: - amateur league: 5 qualification increasing tenders (+100%); - professional league: 5 Virt competitions (1, 1, 1, 3 and 5+3+1). MARY and LIEN: - amateur league: 3 qualification increasing tenders (+100%); - professional league: 3 Virt competions(1, 1, 1); ANNA: - amateur league: 3 qualification increasing tenders (+100%); - professional league: 3 qualification increasing tenders (+25%) The changes in the rules of existing tenders A number of tenders have undergone the changes in rules. It was done in order to make the game more user-friendly and boost its overall " attractiveness". One-day tenders: City trade: The winner of the prize is the store, which generated the biggest amount of revenues of the selected goods in the selected city during the day of the contest. In case the company, which sold the contest goods, owns several stores in the city, the lowest indicator is taken into account. City supply: is replaced by a production tender Quantity х Quality: The system selects three stores with the biggest revenues from the sale of the selected goods in the selected city. The companies, which products were sold in these stores, get a rating point. Each point is a result of the quality of the goods multiplied by their quantity. The winner is the company, which scores the highest rating. Only the goods with 0.2 or higher brand in the selected city are taken into account. Franchise and TM goods are required to have a non-zero brand (excluding bonuses) in the selected city. Production Storm: this type of tender is put on hold Country's pride: The winner of the prize is the owner of several service sector enterprises of the selected specialization, which generated the biggest profit during the contest’s update in the selected country. The system takes only the indicators of ten most profitable service sector enterprises of the selected specialization in the selected country among all the players into account. The taxable profit indicators are taken into account. (Buying and repairing equipment as well as other expenses, which do not decrease the tax base in Virtonomics, do not decrease the profit indicators, which contribute to the overall rating). In case there are several service sector enterprises with the same profit indicators, the amount of total revenues is taken into account. The enterprises with negative profit do not affect the overall rating. Three-day tenders: Virtonomic standard: the requirement for the company to have positive balance was eliminated; Sale: Every day of the contest the system identifies three stores, which sold the biggest amount of the selected goods (in units) in the selected city. The final rating is based on the indicators of the proceeds from the sale of contest goods in such stores. The winning company is selected based on the total amount of revenues. Three-day city supply: this type of tenders is put on hold Head commodity expert: this type of tenders is put on hold new tenders Because of the fact that new industries (energy, fuel as well as a new service -Autorepair), were introduced in the game, a series of new tenders have been added. Tinsmith's day. The winner of the prize is the owner of the autorepair shop of the selected size in the selected city, which generated the biggest profit during the contest’s update. The taxable profit indicators are taken into account. (Buying and repairing equipment as well as other expenses, which do not decrease the tax base in Virtonomics, do not decrease the profit indicators, which contribute to the overall rating). In case there are several autorepair shops with the same profit indicators, the amount of the autorepair shops’ revenues is taken into account. The enterprises with negative profit are not rated at all. Pimp my car (a three-day tender) During these three days the system calculates the taxable profit and the amount of customers the autorepair shop of the selected specialization was able to generate in the selected country. The winner is the autorepair shop, which generated the biggest amount of customers during the three-day contest. In case there are several autorepair shops, which generated the same amount of customers, the winner is the autorepair shop, which generated the biggest profit during a three-day contest. Fuel alchemistry The winner of the prize is the gas station, which generated the highest revenue sales of the selected type of fuel in the selected city during the tender. In case the company owns several gas stations, all of which sold the contest product, the system takes the lowest indicator into account. Virtostandard of fuel During these three days the system calculates the profit of every gas station of the selected size in the selected city. The system rates the gas stations with a positive balance only. (The revenues have to surpass the expenses, excluding the tax expenses).The final rating is based on the highest daily rating indicator of the best gas station during the whole three days. Elite gas station The winner of the prize is the owner of the best gas station of the selected size in the selected city. The best gas station is selected based on the highest service level among 10 gas stations with the highest daily revenues. Only the gas stations of the selected size are taken into account. In case there are several gas stations with the same level of service, the winner is the gas station with the highest daily revenues. Let there be light! (a three-day contest) The winner is the company, which generated the highest revenues from the sale of energy power in the selected country during the whole three days. The only power stations taken into consideration are the ones, which meet the requirements of the tender, provide energy to the city as well as regional power grid, and operate according to international environment safety guidelines. The final rating is based on the indicators of total revenues from the sale of energy power, even in case the total amount of energy power or just a half of it was sold to international power grid. The changes of nomination rules in regular tenders  Contest for ManagersStandard of Virtonomics : the requirement for the companies to have positive balance has been cancelled; National well-being: Autorepair shops are taken into account for the rating;  Contest for DirectorsStandard of Virtonomics: the requirement for the companies to have positive balance has been cancelled; Week of excellent service : Autorepair shops are taken into account for the rating; Instead of the Quality label nomination a new Fuel Rivers have been created The Gas Station Contest. Everyday the system calculates the revenue of each gas station of the contest’s participant. The system rates the gas stations with a positive balance only. (The revenues have to surpass the expenses, excluding the tax expenses.The final rating is based on the biggest sum of seven daily rating indicators of the best gas station during the whole contest.  Contest for DirectorsAdditional requirements to move from the elimination stage to the group stage were cancelled: all directors that won 5 or higher places move to the next stage. It is no longer required to have a company logo and 15 qualification in Management. Mission of Peace: the requirement for the companies to have positive balance has been cancelled; Standard of Virtonomics: the requirement for the companies to have positive balance has been cancelled; Storm of Regions is replaced by Full Container The Gas Station Contest. Everyday the system calculates the revenue of each gas station of the contest’s participant. The system rates the gas stations with a positive balance only. (The revenues have to surpass the expenses, excluding the tax expenses.The final rating is based on the biggest sum of seven daily rating indicators of the best gas station during the whole contest.; City Patron:cancelled; Deficiency:cancelled; Animal World:cancelled; Fishwatch:cancelled; Instead of old nominations the new ones have been created: Doctors without borders. Medical contest. Everyday the system calculates the revenue of the participants’ every medical center in the selected city. The final rating is based on the biggest sum of seven daily rating indicators of the best medical center during the whole contest. The taxable profit indicators are also taken into account. Buying and repairing equipment as well as other expenses, which do not decrease the tax base in Virtonomics, do not decrease the profit indicators, which contribute to the overall rating. Electrification of regions. Contest for energy workers. The winner is the company, which generated the highest revenue from the sale of energy power to the regional power grid. The only power stations of the contest participants taken into consideration are the ones, which operate according to international environment safety guidelines. The final rating is based on the total revenue from the sale of energy power, even in case the total amount of energy power or just a half of it was sold to the world power grid. Current Contest for Presidents will be completed according to the rules that were valid at the beginning of the contest. The new rules for the Contest for Presidents will be valid starting form next contest in January. |

Very nice additions/changes to the contests! Especially auto repairshops, gas stations and power plants are a very great addition, I'm curious how they will work out! The only disappointing change is the removal of the amateur VIRT tenders  So hopefully you might reconsider this! |

Top-10 sponsors receive badges of various degrees - III (+1 for all qualifications), II (+3) or I (+5). The degree of the received badges depend on the number of sponsors- if the players get into the tops for the first time, they receive a III degree badge, the second time-II degree badge, the third time-the I degree badge Ok, i ll try to make it more clear. (It is very unclear in Russian original version as well...) Let's go point by point. # 3rd and 2nd degree medals are NOT permanent. # 1st degree medal is permanent and you can have more than one. # 3rd and 2nd degree medals can be "improved" (3rd => 2nd => 1st) or can disappear # Medal of 3rd or 2nd rank "improves" if in the next contest you get into top 10 by donated amount. 3rd becomes 2nd, and 2nd rank becomes 1st. # If you have medal of 3rd or 2nd rank and in next contest you didn't get into top 10 by donated amount , this medal will disappear # If you get 1st rank medal, you have nothing to worry about and you don't have to donate for next contest. You will have 1st rank medal forever. If you decide to donate and participate again, you will get 3rd rank medal in addition to your 1st rank (u ll have 2 medals) if you get into top 10. If you didn't get into top10, you will just keep your 1st rank medal and you can try next time does that mean the I degree badge is only available in the third contest?
This time those who took 2nd and 1st place (virtonomics) did not get 1st/2nd rank medals. All who get into top10 have got 3rd rank. So... To get permanent 1st rank medal you should get into top 10 by donated amount (be among top 10 sponsors) three times in a roll. There is no point of taking first or second place by donation (from this point of view, but it is important if you are a politician. You would get special projects), just get into top10 three times in a roll. Because you can not see how much money other people donated it makes it always hard to guess exact amount needed to get into top10. How would it go? Well this time some people get medals of 3rd rank. (top9 people bc top1 is virtonomics). Next time which might be even after year or longer if you get into top10 again, you ll get 2nd rank. And after that you have to make sure to get into top10 last time, to get your first permanent medal. Then you start over and you can earn another 1st rank medal after 3 tycoon contest. And the city supply is replaced by that Quantity x Quality tender, which relies a lot on the commerce qualification as well. I personally think these changes aren't very good, but well times changeThe problem with production tenders was that they were not that competitive on Russian realms. We had a group of very skilled players with very high production (300+) and tech 30-35 (which are only available for them). So people in this group had 50-100 factories for EACH possible product ready. When such tenders comes it was literally impossible to beat them. There were winning these tenders for more than 5 years. The logic behind other tender changes is similar: to make it possible for casual players to win because commerce tenders were also 90% taken by those experienced players. There were maaaaany complaints for more that 2 years about all these and finally administration made some changes. New fuel/energy and auto repair tenders were added just because qualification difference from old and new players is not that high now, when for production it was 100-200 qualification levels. Also fuel, auro repair and energy require limited supply, so it would be harder to play them for those who don't have their own mines and top players wouldn't be able to spend 1-2 B per one tender to win it, now they have to spend much more. After all tender system wan't reworked completely and still experienced players with high Q taking most of them, but now it is not like 90/10%, it is more like 75/25 and i think it is good. Also, why did they remove VIRTs prizes for newbie league? The answer is quite similar. There were a lot of guys with qualification 28 +63 who played those tenders in low league for years... Why did they remove qualification prize for major league? To be honest, idk. I think they figure: well, if you need to raise your qualification, do it normal way, donate or win virts and invest. I don't feel that we have lost a lot after they removed +to Q tenders from major league. Logic behind changes in contests is a bit different. There were clones who played contests and it is hard/wrong to ban those people just because they want to play more (from different accounts). Although participating in contest is illegal by game law but it is hard to prove with modern technologies (but it is possible to prove and some people get punished time to time). Most clones have been used as additional production power and they would improve only production/management/livestock qualifications. Now in CD there are no awards with + to production Q (am i right?  i am not sure now, v been writing too much), so clones wouldn't enough winning it as much as they use to with +5, +5 to production Q medals |
