Oh yessss!! We can spend points to get 1% power-ups and the administration saves  94% (61 points)  for each week's regatta lottery. My accountant said this looks more like rip-off 2.0.

Oh yessss!! We can spend points to get 1% power-ups and the administration saves  94% (61 points)  for each week's regatta lottery. My accountant said this looks more like rip-off 2.0.

Missed the point here - isn't participating in regatta not enough to be involved in lottery? Must one also spend at least a point per week on power-ups ??

Because you mentioned spending points on power-ups in the same sentence with savings from lottery. Well

Agree with you, Mike.  After the announcement from Diska I was too excited and wanted to buy lots of villas only to get 3 new innovations but after seeing all above benefits in details, I feel it was not what I had expected and not worth spending money on. Regatta lottery of 1 Virt is not much to excite or make me fun.  Soon I will sell this villa as well. Yes

Participating in regatta and you are involved in lottery - no need to spend any points on innovations to be listed in lottery. Well

well to be fair: points only need to be spent to buy villas (but also can be bought in auctions sometimes) . Your screenshots u0112277 have 2 items which cost points but in my flat all this items can be bought with in-game money today.
 
Certainly this innovations are a welcome upgrade of the villas but you still got to have mansions to enjoy it. Their effect is rather tiny when considering the trade-off with reduced Regatta prices.
 
Giekas.. Regattas have always been held under the label "social events", with the same bonuses as now, to win.
Also the regatta lottery has been held every monday since yachts were introduced but until now the lottery prices were 3 x 5 VIRTS and 1 x 50 VIRTS (total for all realms). With introduction of this Luxury 2.0, the lottery prices have been cut to 4 x 1 VIRT.
