Hi all virtobusinessmen of Lien realm.
 
First of all, thanks for you votes, which supported our candidates.
 
This programm should have been published before the elections of course, but we had no enough info about the cities.
 
So, today I've been elected as a mayor of Tashkent. The budget is in defficiency now, about $20 mln. a day will be sponsored by our party. Also today about $2 bln was invested into the city development (more salaries to the population, increase education level) and over $8 bln. will be invested at this week to increase the city's population. This measures are expected to increase step-by-step the purchasing ability of citizens of the city and bring more opportunities to retailers. Hope, unsighnificant raise of rents for stores and villas won't disappoint you. Rents for offices, service sector and warehouses will not be increased and if city budget goes to profit they would be decresed.
 
I believe that Taskent will become one of the richest cities and hope you will enjoy its benefits and continue to support our party in the elections. Well

And today we managed to reduce rents for offices, servece-centers and warehouses in Tashkent. All businessmen are welcomed to open their subdivisions of this class here, rents are to be decresed more and more.

Some results of our short term activity.
Guangzhou: stable 300 mln. deficite of budget
Moscow: stable 300 mln. deficite of budget
Tashkent: near to 0.
 
The investments into municipal projects are too high and there is no ways seen how could they be covered by cities themselves.
 
The changes to cities' parameters are very low and are not expected to give some significant results at all.
 
The questions.
 
a) Do you think we should continue this politics game wasting virtual money with no significant results?
b) Do you think of leaving a Party cause you're paying for other's benefit? (as you could see, all the expences are divided among the party members in proportion to assets)
c) Should our Mayors leave their chairs or keep them by way of joining another party?

Actually I don't thinks its yours or someone's else fault. Well
 
Suppose the main aspect is that there are not many players on our realm and too small number of enterprises in the cities. It causes high unemployment rates (over 17% and in figures it's more than 2.5 mln people - about 100 auto factories of the largest size!) which is payed from city budget. There is too small quantity of rented and new-build facilities which could increase income.
 
The problem of such kind of large cities is widely discussed, but for today there is no any changes and they are not expected in near future.
 
Should be continue sponsoring the population of these cities? Sponsoring means giving as a gift them our money Well
 
About Tashkent, I'd like to continue developing it not only because it's my city of birth in reality, but it seems to be some profitable (just municipal project are to be sponsored) and I'm waiting for autumn update to see how the retail market would react on increase of city's population and it's income. Now it is game july and we could see it in game october, in some 1-2 real weeks. I'm trading jewelry there, now the price of local suppliers seem to be stabilized. It's intresting to see if it would change.

So, today the first changes have occured.
Tashkent:
Average city salary: 210.00$ (was 200.00)
Population ths.: 2 313 (was 2 287)
Education level: 4.20 (was 4.00)
 
As it was mentioned above, rent payments for stores and villas had been increased by 5%, for warehouses, fitness-centers and offices decreased by the same 5%.
 
Current unemployment rate is 15.57 % (was 18.5%).
 
The next step is to watch the affected changes of retail and services market so for about one week no municipal projects will be initiated. Than we could together analize them and make a decission in what direction it would be better to further develope the city.

Average city salary: 220.50$$ (was 200.00 basically)
Population ths.: 2 356 (was 2 287 basically)
Education level: 4.41 (was 4.00 basically)
 
Rents for serveices, offices and warehouses will continue to lower. Please, keep in mind, that having warehouse in Tashkent you will not only pay less rents, but there is lowest tax rate in the region. So it could be quite benifical to place large wholesale warehouses here.

The municipality will provide means to fight high prices and make the city life less expensive (utility rate discounts, free use of public transport, etc.) These measures will decrease the level of salary expectations by 5%. {...}The popularity ranking of the mayor won’t change, and not all retail dealers will support the reduction of prices.
I thought about this.
1. Didn't want to harm retail prices by reducing income of local citizens.
2. Compared to other cities with average salaries less than $100, it would last (approximately) about 15 virtonomics' years (more than 2 real years) to reach that level.
3. Services sector is one of the most easy to control and less profitable game aspects. So I'm trying to let players to sell their services closer to highest prices and pay less rents.
4. Uzbekistan is the only region with 10% income tax rate. So it seems to be the most useful to have large wholesale or central warehouses here. Average city salary doesn't affect this.
5. Anyway, increasing not only salaries, but education level too, might make a compensation and keep near to the same expences on employees.
 
So it seems to be the only disadvantage of the chosen course: increasing rates for stores. But usually these $0.5-1 mln. is not any serious sum of cash for retailers and also are partly compensated by relatively slow, but increasing buying capabilities of the population.
