We going to have a small one day trade competition for those who want to win a little prize. Competition going to be in a small city Rovaniemi (Finland) on the Mary realm To participate you have to buy a store from me which going to be available on market tomorrow (friday 24) All stores have the size of 1000 sq.m., same popularity and each will have 15 000 socks on their warehouse of same quality You can't buy any other goods in this store, you can sell only these 15 000 socks You can do all other things with the store like use business boosters, change marketing budget, change qualification of workers and you can change store location (City centre, Residential area etc) but you will lose 50% of popularity. Stores located in different areas so who ever buys store first have more choices. Please do not create your own store in this city with same name and please, don't sell in this city socks by yourself during the competition. I have stores ID and if you try to cheat you won't get any prize. Stores are the same (except location) and market in the city for socks is completely empty (42 000 units), so this should be a fair competition Tomorrow (friday 24) you can get your store and you have only one day to make some allowed changes there if you want (Don't forget to have office in Finland!) There are 3 prizes, for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Awards are 5, 3 and 1 points respectively. Because this is first try of such event prices are not very high but in future they might be bigger So all you have to do is to buy one of these stores tomorrow and set up the price for socks. That is it. Next day, in saturday 25th i'll look at each store and will compare revenues (not profit!) so it does not matter how much you spend, all what matters is how much you will earn by selling socks [Revenue = number of socks sold * price] If you want to help, let us know in this topic tomorrow which store did you buy (its name and number) and its ID And the day after (saturday 25th) post a screenshot of financial report => Graphics were we can see your revenues. Also say what is your store's location, socks price and what is # of socks you sold. (If you lazy to post results here i will calculate it for you anyway) That way i wouldn't have to check everything by myself or ask administration to help. If you think that someone cheated (although i tried to make this as fair as possible) let us know in this topic. There is a chance that such competition won't succeed but let's all be honest and play fare. If this event will have some success, prizes may raise and in future there might be more interesting competitions like that. Good luck everyone! Just guess the right price tomorrow

I don't think anyone has a huge advantage, only the maximum marketing budget can make a difference in this case, and of course: Guessing the right price, and especially guessing how others might price them. |
