Dear friends form Virtonomics,
 
I and many form my corp and friends from other corps have invested already 51% of the money for Tycoon Contest.
 
I hope you consider helping and we will try to invest a little more to finish if we see some progress. Currently only 35 players have invested, I would really like to see at least 35 more Very we! I think it is great if we can get all the money and start this contest. If you invest i know there are prizes, but if you miss out, then you get nothing. Even a little goes a long way.
 
If we can lets try to start the contest in end of Mach or beginning of April. I think 1-2 more months is enough to gather the money. I see many players with lots of cash - lets do something with it instead of let it sit around.
 
I wish you a fun 2017 and lets have more fun playing.

$305 Billion of the $25 Trillion needed to start a new Contest for Tycoons had already been raised! I have donated what I can and I would urge others to do so as it was a really fun and enjoyable experience. I just hope it doesn't take another year and a half to raise all the money as it did for the first one but we can see what will happen...

things have been moving a bit again of late... We're now at $5.4Tn or more than 20% of what's required.
 
I wonder what would happen if certain affluent players were to decide to start the contest again out of the blue. Everybody who's not in the top-8 now, would be caught out and miss the nice qualification bonus you automatically get, just for donating some cash... I'm currently at +3 on all my qualifications and wouldn't mind turning that into a permanent +5 anytime soon :-)
 
Last time $150Bn was enough to get the bonuses...

If you like the Tycoon contest, try Olga realm. They have had 1 or 2 every month for the last several months. I must have competed in about 20 Tycoon contests on Olga.

thanks for the tip, but it's not that I'm interested in the contest games. I'm only interested in the qualifications bonus I get from being a top 10 donor. :-) If I'm in the top-10 this time, me and probably a few others will get a permanent +5 on our qualifications.

Hmm... is the ranking disabled? All I see is 'n/a' instead of the donated amounts.

The individual donated amounts are shown when the contest starts. Then the people just outside of the top 10 can start cursing at themselves that IF only they had donated just a few billion more, they would have gotten the qualification bonus :-)
 
Anyway, we're over halfway there now. In the past, some people leaving the game decided to donate their cash to this contest before leaving. We are now at a level where quite a number of players would easily have enough to start the contest this way on any given day...
 
Stay in the top-6 XDCD, coz I know for a fact that at least 3 players outside of the current top 10 have made moves to enter the top 10 recently. If they do so again when an ultimate donor (automatically entering the top 10 too) does his thang, you'd risk getting caught out...
