On 25 January Virtonomics will be hosting a Brazilian carnival!
Brazil will be added to Virtonomics map. In addition to that, a new crop, Soya, together with several derivative products will be introduced as well.  We have also made some important game adjustments.
 
The events will be held on Vera, Olga, Mary and Lien.
However, these novelties will be introduced a bit later on Anna (in the course of two weeks).

By introducing Brazil, we are enhancing Virtonomics world in South America.
Brazil is among five most populated countries in the world.  Its population reaches 206,081 million.
 
We are planning to introduce 17 cities and 5 regions.

Brazil has a permanent bonus to Biodiesel production quality 5%.
 

Soya and soya products
Brazil will be the homeland of a newly introduced crop – Soya.
 
Soya will serve as a raw material for the following products:
Tofu (produced at Soy factories, offered in Foodstuff department)
Soy sauce (produced at Soy factories, offered in Grocery department)
Miso-soup (produced at Instant food production plants, offered in Foodstuff department)
Biodiesel (produced at Biodiesel plant, offered in Gas station)
 
Some specializations (Soy sauce, Tofu, Miso-soup) will be removed on Lien and introduced as separate products.
Soy and rice images will also be replaced on Lien.

 

Soya bonus sets
As usual, together with new products, we will be introducing bonus sets, which will include the agricultural farm, new factories and the award with qualification bonuses.
 

Important game adjustments
1. Electronic components factories will have a new electronic components production specialization with increased productivity.
 
2. The price limit for indicative pricing for selling goods will be cancelled (will be done before the end of January). The function, which was initially introduced as a mechanism to prevent cash flow, has lost its relevance.
 
3. Meanwhile, the indicative pricing with its original purpose remain relevant (as the basic cost of goods when it comes to calculating customs duties). On 26 January we plan to upgrade the indicative prices of some products based on the market situation.

On topic for change number 3 could you release that information before enabling it so those who do large amounts of importing/exporting don't die from a heart attack ;)

I understand introducing yet another branch of products which are only available through real money-purchased enterprices. There's not a single new product obtainable from regular materials - oh well, too bad. But the change no. 1 - making it possible to have 10x (!) greater production yield out of the same factory, as long as you have the money-purchasable materials, is just outrageous.
 
Producing electronic components is really absorbing atm - a lot of workers required to produce a handful of products. Which wouldn't be much of a problem if there were no such thing like qualification limit. But now, with this new speciality, we will see a flood of elecronic products, while non-paying players being left far behind will continue struggling to manufacture anything.

Yes. Here's my rough estimation about using the new "Усовершенствованные электронные компоненты" specialisation:
a. One million CMOS* will cost around 1.254 points** While it could be produced on independent supplier OR 0.1325 points per one million CMOS if produced on private silica mine.
b. Salary costs will be reduced by 86.2%, overall.
c. Quality of products will be roughly 30% better** compared to normal specialisation + private mine.
d. Cost of equipment wear and tear will slightly increase, but I won't go into calculations for simplicity.
 
My conclusion is that this is an expensive specialisation in terms of real money: 37.6 points per month to get 1,000,000 CMOS daily, but of course one can run his business on lower quality mines. Doubt many people will try it. But this is a loudly-announced pay-to-play game, after all.
 
And no complaints about this Miso-Soup? producing 1 Miso-Soup needs 1.1 soy, 0.1 fish, 0.05 flowers, absolutely no ingredient that can be purchased from independent suppliers. Must pay salaries and repair equipment at three farms and three factories, pay for transportation (and possibly customs) 7 times to completely integrate everything vertically and finally compete in a $171-market (at introduction day). Many products with this low ROI and Point Conversion Rate have been abandoned by players. I will wait and watch how this will proceed.
 
* I prefer the more frivolous CMOS over "Electronic Component" phrase which makes no sense.
** assuming one buys mines with following specifications:
base quality=3.00
complexity=3.00
cost=10 point

Electronic components specialization is great now instead of 50 000 workers to get 100 000 components at tech 15 we can use only 5000 workers for that + quality will be better
 
For Soya is funny that all products have lower start price then price of Soya
 
But i think this is very nice update

Remember IP is also getting removed Well so it wont affect your selling abilities anymore.

based on my calculations i will be producing about 120k per unit at tech 20 with a Q range of 17.4-19. If i like the Q and price i'll convert all units over, which will produce about 4.125 million units total. however next to high production is it really worth it Q wise?

to correct the 5% per unit for all 3 i doubled one item to make it 1/10th
For me:
Option 1:
Silica Q1 (Q2 in calc)
Gold Q 2.35 (i have about 10 million units from old mining)
Copper 18.36 (tech 22 1% bonus from villa)
Total Q: 20.25
Option 2:
S Q1.67 (mine has about 18 million reserves, 3.34 in calc)
G 1.69 (have about 500K w/ 20k production being sold publicly w/ 1% bonus i think)
C 18.36
Total Q: 20.55
Option 3:
S Q1 (calc Q2)
G 2.35 (because 10 million reasons why)
C 10.13 (up production of the bonus we got with 160 million units at mine tech 18 with 1.81 q using same factory as above)
Total Q: 16.17
 
Now Since we dont get a 25% in Q even tho we are using gold Again
Using each one above
Option 1:

Total: 10.55
Option 2:

Not saying what i did was correct but to my best knowledge the higher the count the more important the q becomes, which would explain why if i reverse silca q with gold i get 12.08 instead 10.55
To reenforce this using http://virtalab.info/en/calc.html#/calc/en/lien/products/5/2546 ... by splitting the Q of one item in half resulted in Q10.5 using enough bonuses to equal around 25%. So my math is adequate.
 
Question is, is it really worth it?
1 gold bar = 11.09 ring (no bonuses added) > Nano sells for 50K+
1 copper bar 45K 100% sold out? no one sells anything higher than 10 on the open market. (Mitsofos International has 17 for 46K)
so... (plus labour rent etc)
Q1 silica per unit $1.2 (ind supplier)
my gold per unit $2,500 (50K/20) (open market is 20-35K)
my copper bars per unit $2,250 (45K/20)
Total per unit: $4,751.2 (raw material)
Market value: $12,500/$8,600.00 (400 units avil/sold out)
 
Worth it? Nope... Esp since i can can fetch 4K per unit from a $1.2 resource. Financially speaking in "game money" this is a bad investment. Wonson gave point value i gave in-game value with math and links.
 
Now if someone only cares about Q fine go ahead it gives over 2.5x the q vs f2p but as Wonson mentioned you better have deep pockets.

on mary i produce about 400 units a turn but sell some 300K+ To you (not from the open market either) There's plenty of units you just need to know how to obtain them. (i have a few q25 and even 37 components idling in mary because i have no idea what to do with them lol, guess i'll sell them at 1 mill per unit for lolz once IP is eradicated...)

Let's say that your 5000 workers make 10 000 pcs (for easy calculation) and you sell them for 4000 so you get 40 mil
 
With new specialization and if you buy all from market ( i use Lien's prices ) extra resources will cost you about 2k and you will have 50% higher quality.
 
Now lets say that you sell 50% higher quality for same price 4k , you will have profit 2k per unit but your 5 000 workers will produce 100 000 pcs so you will have profit 200 mil
 
So explain me how that not worth it when you use only 5k workers to gain 200mil (300 mil if you ask me very easy) ?

So explain me how that not worth it when you use only 5k workers to gain 200mil (300 mil if you ask me very easy) ?
Sadly, only way of producing anything with a nice profit is via yourself. 200 million gave me q 11 in contracts. 1 billion will give 17.7 in contracts.
126k units 8k/11q = 1 billion (assuming you sell all) 5x purchase price
126k units 12k/17.7q = 1.5 billion 50% of the purchase price
I produce 7q 411.5k units at a cost of 40 million, free to play which could sell at 4k or 1.65 billion. 41x production costs (not calculated for other 2)
 
Money wise 126k per turn isn't worth it even with the higher turn around per worker. Eventually resources will become scarce (actually surprised no copper sales for this) and this will become as useful as olives...
 
Oh also remember lower tech isn't just lower output it's also lower q which means less money. I'd say the minimum for f2p making of this product has to be at least 19 tech, anything less is not worth it as you can buy the quality you need for the same price or less.
