Are we the consumers or is it a stimluation consumer base? Are prices suppose to be reallyt this inflated?

Great question. When your products are sold in stores, it a computer based consumer. Prices skyrocketed because players that run the market shares of products can keep increasing the prices by setting their goods at higher and higher prices.
 
For example: One of my stores can sell chocolate for 500$ a piece. Why? A leading company is selling 200,000 pieces of chocolate in that same city. Therefore the price is higher.
 
The price is ultimately determined by the companies that sell in HUGE amounts. Hope this answers your question!
