I have no idea of the feasability of my ideas but I like to share them with you all. I think it would make the game more attractive, especially for new players.
Introduction of managers
Managers should be available for offices. Like villas, they should give a plus (1%-10%?) on certain aspects of the game, like quality of products, research etc. But unlike villas you cannot own them, you need to hire a managers for a certain time. After that time they should become available for other players: the player that offers the highest salary and bonusses gets the contract.
Another restriction is that they can only be useful during a certain development stage of the company. For example, a manager that can help companies below 30 points of a certain qualification level.
Introduction of new factories and technologies for products
In the real world, markets can change completely by the introduction of new concepts. Nokia and Ericson dominated the mobile phone market until a few years ago, nowadays Apple and Samsung are dominant. GE and Philips dominated the market for lighting for many decades. Since the introduction of leds, they lost their dominance on the world market.
In virtonomics only incremential development of products is possible. The introduction of new factories with new processes for existing products can simulate new concepts of products. For example, a new mobile Phone made by new technology that gives a 200% quality bonus when produced in a new factory. When companies reach research level 10, a new factory will produce higher quality mobile phones than a level 20 factory old style. And in the long run the old technology will become obsolete and can be removed from the game. This concept is more realistic and more fun for new players.
