I think when we put a subdivision on vacation, the wages paid should be half of the normal salary set by the company, rather than half of the city average. In the game now, if the workers normal salary is $100 per week, per worker, but the city average is $300, said company would be paying $50 more than normal salary for workers to be on vacation. I personally dont know any companies that give raises to their employees to be on vacation. If someone knows a company that does, I'd be happy to quit my day job.
My idea was some sort of transportation/trucking/logistics subdivision of the services sector. The result would be lower delivery (customs too?) cost. Tractor-Trailers would be the equipment. |

| yes, you are right, but I feel it would require additional changes. IF you do it this way, I just set the wages at $1 before I send them on holiday.
So, if you want to implement this, you might want to put a limit on the size of wage cuts and attach consequences to exaggerated cuts (eg for every 1% you lower wages, 1% of your trained staff leaves). Also: if you keep your subdivision on holiday for too long, in real life, your staff would leave and look for a different job. On the other hand: my workers combine to make up a cost of less than 0,5% of my total budget. That's a really low amount. Maybe something needs to be done there? For example: the people making my cars are earning 68$ a week. They can buy that car in the shop for 235.000$. This means they have to work for 66 years just so they can afford this medium quality car. If I train them more, I can pay them even less. (I'm sure there are even much crazier situations.) |

| yes, I know it does. Just saying that if your proposal were to be implemented, I would set my "normal" wages at 1 and then send everybody home on holiday. I would then pay $0.5 to the workers on holiday instead of half the city average :-) So, while I like your idea and agree to your remark, I feel additional measurements would be necessary to prevent people from doing this. As a matter of fact, I'd expect this to be the very reason why you have to pay half the city average as it is. |

| It could be made so that you couldn't send your employees on holiday unless the salary meet or exceeds the required qualification. | |||
