Hello,
 
I started the quest, then built an AV factory.  Available level of technology is 2, and my factory is at level 2.  
 
The 200 worker factory is fully staffed and has maximum equipment.
 
Efficiency is at 100%.
 
Products produced for at least 2 days now.
 
How come the quest is still not completed?

This has been an issue in the past. From memory 2/3 of what was available on tech market (not licenses) was sufficient for completion of the quest.

Since then, I have finished studying Level 3 tech for AV, and applied it, but I had finished and applied Level 2 within the quest time limit

Hi,
I have spend more then 2 weeks on this quest. I have build 3 factories and my first try failed and in the mid of the my second chance right now. It is a bad news to hear from this forum that 2/3 technology is NOT available but KNOWN. It is nearly impossible for a new player to INVENT a 2/3 of known level of any product especially in a world like Mary where nearly all products 12th level is known. This means you have to aquire level 8 for this quest. Even if the technology is available it is very EXPENSIVE. I feel de-moralized after all those days.
 
If possible quest has to be changed to a FIXED level like 4 or 5 as in the PHD quest. Asking for more than level 5 is too much for a beginner. In Mary for example I have 300 million cash and still can NOT buy level 8 (2/3 of 12 known) technology. Cheapest available is around 470.
 
I need help for the BEST factory for MARY environment for as of update 23 Nov 09.

I have found domestic production as the ONLY available technology to buy and build a factory.
 
Can ANYONE confirm what I am doing is correct, otherwise I will waste 3 updates to see the result.
 
Domestic products KNOWN level is 12. I have bought 8 from the factory build tab.
I have all equipment ready for the task.
 
Is Domestic production technology is the right solution for a player with 250 million cash?
Should I build any other factory instead?

highest known is 12, so L8 should get you there.
 
totally agree it is very expensive or close to impossible to fulfil this 'beginners' quest

fixed level seems a very good idea - PhD quest - study tech.  production quest - apply the tech studied.  logical and much more possible.  Please do consider, admin!

As far as I am aware licenses will allow you to complete the quest, you just need to look at the actual tech sales when calculating 2/3 of max.
 
It could still be a good idea to reconsider the conditions for these quests. Between the cost and everything else new players have to learn it can be easy to fail or miss out on quests.
