It looks like in the near future I'll be needing a whole lot of machinery of Q27+ for my Lien company. Bostjan did me a huge favor the other day, but I really don't want to abuse his spontaneous generosity even more. So, I'd like to be able to produce the machines myself. But: is it possible?
Some fixed parameters: my production qualification: 30 tech level: 16 (top manager cannot handle more) Steel: Q11.15 (highest I could find) Microprocessors: Q12.66 (highest I could find) Variables: Equipment (now 10'000 @Q25.20) Employees (now 5'000 @9.19) The output quality is 26. So the required increase isn't that great... I know there is a help file somewhere that allows you to simulate this, but unfortunately, I cannot get that to work. So I have no clue what the effects of an increased equipment line and/or better qualified employees would be. Any advice? |

higher Q input means higher Q outputs...or inovations but that will cost you points if enterprise is big |

| extremely put: I fire some workers and increase the remaining staff's skill to say 12.5 I replace the equipment with whatever is on the market (ie about 26.8) Would that have any impact? I know that better steel and microprocessors would help, but those are equally elusive as the top quality machines :-) EDIT: if I'm gonna spend points on this, would it be equally efficient to just raise my production qualification? Ceteris paribus that increases product quality too, right? Even if it doesn't, it allows me to use tech 17 if I raise it 2 points. Then again, in turn, I'd need even better machinery (Q29+ ) for my other production... |

| I use quality management innovation (3 points per 3 months). It increases the quality by 16% that in your case equals appr. 4. | |||||

there is no change if your employees have skill 18, the output quality won't change if your efficiency is at 100% |

| thanks guys.
I feared worker skill wouldn't matter You didn't explicitely mention it, so just to make sure: anyway I can up the quality by placing better machines?
Q of the output just went up to 26.48 by the way (don't know why, but I'm not complaining :d) |

| if you have efficiency of enterprise at 100 % and output Q 26, than even if you will have machines Q 40, the output will be the same Q, because tech lvl is important...ofcourse also inovations if you have some | |||||||
