My store storage/warehouse is overfilled. It's about 150% for few days already now, but apparently I can still buy as much as I want. Are there any negative consequences of overfilled warehouse? (thats a warehouse of a store, not a separate stand-alone one)
(I noticed a drop of sales for the last few days, even though I did not make any change in prices/quality/service level/advertising/efficiency.. Is there a connection somehow between sales and warehouse? o_O) |

| From how I understand it: more goods in the warehouse = more staff required to handle that. That staff isn't selling product.
An overfilled warehouse probably also negatively impacts your service level. I'd hazard a guess that's not helping sales either :-) Try to keep your purchases in line with your sales. The actual level of your inventory depends on your followup of things and the reliability of your suppliers. See if you can increase the size of the store. It will result in more visitors and hence better sales. It will also diminish the overfilled-ness :-) |

| my service level is still elite, i have 40 staff even though i only require 30, the qualification is also quite a bit higher than i need for elite service level.
the store is in tallinn, so 1000m² is max. i now order as much as i sell, but i always have a bit extra in my warehouse as backup when my sales go up due to advertising. the store actually gets most of its goods from my own warehouse that also supplies other stores in estonia. the warehouse then buys from the suppliers. this way i can use the huge warehouse storage space to store about 10x more goods than i sell, so that i have enough backup for when suppliers dont have enough goods or when i cannot login to the game for a few days. btw: why didnt virtonomics update last night? o_O |
