Today, Dec. 15, we are launching a new sector announced earlier on the occasion of the 5 year anniversary of the project - Services!
Here are some basics you need to know about the novelty:
1. There is a new type of enterprises -  Enterprises specializing in services. Initially the services sector will be represented by fitness centers;
2. New enterprises will provide different kinds of services to the Virtonomics citizens. In case of the fitness centers the service is a visit to a fitness center (for example, weeklong membership);
3. Enterprises specializing in services are created in the same way you create stores. When you create one you have to rent premises in a city district of your choice. The rent cost is the same as for stores. There are five sizes for the fitness centers: 100 sq. m, 500 sq. m, 1000 sq. m, 5000 sq. m and 30 000 sq. m;
4. The owner of an enterprise can choose the specialization of the fitness center. The initial set will include seven specializations: Fitness, Yoga, Body building, Health groups, Professional sport, Dancing and Climbing. The specializations differ by their popularity and service cost. Also there is an important factor for sales - uniqueness, which will depend on the competition density in the city for the same specialization;
5. Enterprises specializing in services will need equipment. The equipment for fitness centers is  Exercise machines (on Olga, where the exercise machines are absent at the moment, this type of goods will be introduced together with the launch of the Services sector);
6. Enterprises specializing in services can advertise themselves the same way stores do: they will have the "popularity" parameter which determines the number of visitors;
7. The owner of an enterprise specializing in services deals with the following costs: premises rent, staff expenses (salary, training, etc.), advertising cost, equipment cost, administrative cost and the cost of service (depends on the amount of installed equipment and the chosen specialization). The enterprises will not spend any kind of goods when rendering services;
8. The sale of services happens during the update. The price for a service is set by the owner of an enterprise. The number of clients who purchase the service will depend on three indices: the price, the service level and the uniqueness of the service;
9. The service level is determined by the enterprise's efficiency, the quality of the installed equipment and the staff qualification. Unlike for stores there is no dependence of the service level on the amount of staff;
10. The uniqueness of the service depends on the number of enterprises specializing in services in a given city; the strongest competition to lower your sales is the enterprises situated in the same city district and of the same specialization;
11. The enterprises specializing in services will be attached to the new qualification -  Services;
12. The efficiency and the upgrade of the qualification in services will be calculated according to the general rules of Virtonomics, but with a different additional parameter when upgrading the qualification: the service level instead of the profit (which is the case for stores);
13. Analogous to the retail report there will be a report for the Enterprises specializing in services (Game world>>Reports>>Services);
*14. Additional alterations (ranking, innovations, inclusion of the Services sector into the beginner's set from your rich uncle, etc.) are to appear later. After we have adjusted the new functional.
**15. New enterprises specializing in services (for instance, hairdresser's, laundry, etc.) will also be launched later. As the need arises.
